In light of growing concern about the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and recent developments within Kansas, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Kansas Counselor’s Conference scheduled for March 25-27 in Manhattan, KS. We made this​ decision with the health and safety of our members, attendees, and event staff as our top priority.

All registrations will be refunded via the initial form of payment. Please provide until April 1, 2020 for all reimbursements to be made. If you have not received reimbursement after April 1, please contact Kim Urenda at kca.exec.director@gmail.com. In addition, reach out directly to the hotel where you made a reservation to cancel it.

We appreciate your patience as we address this difficult situation. We recognize that this situation can evoke a variety of emotions. As mental health professionals, it is not only important for us to attend to our clients and students but also ourselves and our families. For additional resources please visit the following:

KSCA/KCA 2020 Spring Conference Information:

We hope you are enjoying some fall weather. As we gear up for the holiday season, we wanted to reach out to you and thank you for your continued support. We know there have been changes within our organizations but we are happy to continue our partnership to offer a quality conference for you in Manhattan, KS on March 26th and 27th at the Hilton Garden Inn. KACES is hosting the Pre-Conference on Ethics on Wednesday, March 25th from 2-5 p.m. We will post more information as soon as possible.

We also need your help with nominating some great counselors for the KCA Counselor of the Year and the Hall of Fame Award for a KCA member by January 15th. Nomination guidelines can be found on our website.

The President's Reception on Thursday, March 26th will be held at Liquid Art Winery and Estates. It is a great way to relax and connect with others at a lovely venue. We hope you can join us there!
